His training spans a six-year plastic surgery residency at the University of California, Davis; a craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery fellowship at the University of California, San Diego; and a facial aesthetic preceptorship in Seoul, South Korea, under one of the world’s foremost rhinoplasty surgeons.

This depth of understanding of facial anatomy and structure distinguishes his aesthetic work across the face, breast, and body. Like his plastic surgeon colleagues serving the Fort Worth, Plano, and Frisco areas of Texas, Dr. Xue believes that exceptional results begin with a personalized plan, spending meaningful time guiding each patient to achieve balanced, elegant results that enhance their natural features.

Dr. Xue honed his aesthetic craft through a facial aesthetic surgery preceptorship at the renowned JW Plastic Surgery Clinic in Seoul, under Dr. Man Koon Suh, a globally recognized authority on rhinoplasty. Drawing on his specialized training, he cared for patients with congenital differences at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, including those with cleft lip and nasal deformities, with a focus on restoring both function and natural appearance. Whether rejuvenating the aging face or reconstructing delicate facial structures, his work reflected a commitment to precision, balance, and achieving outcomes that appear both harmonious and authentic.

A Foundation in Academic Medicine

Dr. Xue served as an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of California, San Diego, where he cared for patients, advanced research, and helped train the next generation of surgeons. He has authored more than a dozen peer-reviewed publications in the field’s leading journals, on subjects ranging from facial reconstruction to breast augmentation, fat grafting, and body contouring. His commitment to excellence was recognized early with election to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

On a Personal Note

When Dr. Xue and his wife welcomed their first child, everything came into focus. He left his academic post at UC San Diego and moved his young family to Texas, where he could devote his time to what he loves most: getting to know his patients and caring for them one-on-one.

Beyond his practice, Dr. Xue is deeply committed to giving back through surgical care. He has volunteered with InterFace Kids, traveling to provide free reconstructive surgery for children, and joined cleft lip and palate surgical missions abroad through Love Without Boundaries. It reflects the same values he brings to every patient he serves.
