How Soon After Breast Augmentation Can I Start Exercising?

Many breast augmentation patients at our Fort Worth area practice are active and fitness-conscious. They often ask how soon they can safely start exercising again after breast augmentation. While each woman is different, we typically advise avoiding all exercise except light walking for the first 2 weeks after surgery. After 2 weeks, you can carefully resume some lower body exercises as your breast implants continue to settle. You should feel back to normal 6 to 8 weeks after surgery and can resume running, swimming, or your regular gym routine. In the end, always listen to your body and follow your doctor’s breast augmentation recovery instructions. This is the best way to support your body during the healing process and achieve beautiful, satisfying results.
